Engineering and medical-the only profession left !!

Yes !! it seems to me that there is no other profession left for the youngsters of today. Wheather it's the parental pressure or it's their inner voice, which commands them to take such an important decision in their lives, which according to them is impeccable for the entire family. Gone are the days when the people used to ask with due respect "Arey bhai, engineer sahab ka ghar kahan hain"?? . Nowadays due to the increased number of students in the engineering and medical profession, the major 'two's' have lost their charm . In fact today the graph of no. of students vs the no. of engineers or doctors varies linearly. As the quantity is geting larger, more and more colleges are being opened at a faster rate, but what about the quality?? There are many numerous options available in front of a teenager to choose from-wheather it's being a fashion designer, pilot, cricketer, choreographer, etc but everyone opts for either engineering or the medical profession which in the long run produces negative repercussions for them.
I am sure there is one sachin present in each colony, there is one messi present in each 'mohalla', one vaibhavi merchant in each 'gali' but the entire talented bunch of students takes an implausible decision to go for the majority two's. So why such a hugh craze behind these two professions?? Some believe that other professions are not embraced by the society or it's some kind of myth that the other professions do not get enough of name, fame and recognition in the society. To Mr.X i would like to say that look at the world around you and it is full of elites (Apart from enginners and doctors of course). Each and every single profession has got its own esteem to leverage the audience and holds a prestigious value in the society.
According to me the child must be unshackled to decide his/her career path. The decision needs to be entirely theirs. What is the point of minting money if you are not enjoying your particular job. What is the point of this futile exercise if you are no longer interested?? Yes there are many cases in india itself.( I am not saying everyone). People opt for something and after a few enjoyable months, they find it quiet monotonous. So believing in oneself is important rather being distraught for the rest of your lives....
