100 YEARS OF INDIAN CINEMA

Recently i watched 'aashiqui 2'.Songs were the plus point of this movie.'Sunn raha hai' and 'Chahun main ya na' raised the movie to a large extent. However i wasn't satisfied with the emotional end.It could have been different but that's the indian feel.Anyways 100 years have passed since the first movie of indian cinema 'raja harishchandra' was released (in 1913).We have overuled many obstacles since then.In this wonderful journey so far ,nearly all the aspects of life were covered. They made us laugh, cry and jump (at the wow moment).'Pushpa, i hate tears' and 'k***e, main tera khoon pi jaunga became famous.Dhak dhak girl madhuri came in action.Villains including gabbar and mogambo became an integral part of the movies and various other events took place which can not be counted.Nowadays there is a trend of making the sequels.(YPD 2 releasing on june 7).

Yes we have crossed a hallmark but lets think deep now.We all know that the audience ,especially the children are greatly influenced by the movies.Crowd is extremely intelligent nowadays.Today placing a smoking scene of longer duration is considered as fashion, passion and obsession among the script writers. These reel scenes are often imitate in real lives. At the bottom of the screen a short notice in very small letters soon arrives "Smoking is injurious to health" Thank god !! we know that. But lets shift our attention to the fact that was it really necessary to place that scene or it was imposed unnecessarily?? Indian movies today show a large proportion of vulgar scenes, double meaning comedy and at least one item song per movie. These tactics are often employed in order to cross th 100 crore landmark. However anurag basu's 'barfi' was a huge contradiction to this fact. When content is strong , then why rely on something that destroys the moral values of the society.

Hundred is a big number but if you ask cinema crazy indians, that will give you a number far bigger than to celebrate the movies.
