First of all i would like to wish a very happy independence to one and all.
We are into our 68th independence day now. Prime minister Narendra Modi
delivered his maiden (together with inspirational and motivational)
independence day speech today. (Early morning speech-missed it ! But my friend
'Youtube' is always there for my rescue..). Even our television has turned
patriotic today and is full of movies like Holiday, Indian, Kasam Hindustan ki,
and many more. (Thank god max is not showing Suryavansham today !!). A very
sorry day for all the cricketing fans as the plight of indian batsmen was
exposed by the england bowlers and india is down to 43/5 at lunch time. But
let's spare the topic of cricket today.
But friends let’s ponder
over the fact that even after 68 years of independence, are we really free?? What
does the term independence mean anyway?? Does the term only stands for
freedom?? No, certainly not. It stands for a hell lot more than that. Even at
this stage, we are slaves in the hands of poverty, child labour, environmental
degradation, corruption, and lots more, which truly, are a menace to the
society in whole. These issues are to be strangled in a systematic way.
So how do we tackle the
ongoing situation?? Let’s stop being mendacious today. A nation cannot progress
without an indispensable contribution of its society members. I am certainly
not positive about the fact of one person getting the things done for all of
us. Let’s remember Mahatma Gandhi's magical words on this auspicious occasion,”You
must be the change, you want to see in the world". So let's try something
innovative starting from today itself. Try to perform a certain act which sets
an example for others. Volunteer yourself for this special task and finish it
in an austere way, such that it automatically becomes a paradigm for others.
This idea will bring discomfiture in the initial stage, but believe me, when
you will see your idea expand , your chest will widen. Task must be chosen
according to your potential- Feeding the poor, quitting your drinking and
smoking habit, helping a handicapped person or help someone with a genuine
problem, can bring immense joy of satisfaction on our faces. If everyone performs
his/her task in a jocular way, our society can turn blissful, which will have a
direct implication on nation’s progress . I am right or am i right ??
( You still
there. Come on, think a brilliant idea, to start with !!)
