Vacations

Vacations- The ideal escape from harsh realities of life (in context of a student). Well with a daily dose of classes, homework, tests, assignments, life is indeed not a bed of roses for him. But wait a minute, I have come up with yet another definition of this term. Vacations- A constant period of the year, during which mommy dear buy few tablets of ‘disprin’. After all she is aware of the fact that, next 60 days are going to be a living hell for her
.
Following events take place in a period before vacations:
Vacation goals of any student year after year (The impeccable list made every year)-
  • Learn swimming
  • Learn Java
  • Play badminton regularly
  • Help mommy dear in her daily chores
(No matter what you fill in the gaps, they never get fulfilled).

Following events take place in a period during vacations:
During the period, our body tends to be in a lethargic mode and it plays an important role in intoxicating our mind. The apathetic and obnoxious attitude is raised to an all new level, when our body doesn’t even want to move and get a glass of water. (Why bother, when mommy dear is there!!) Daily tasks are always assigned a ‘tomorrow’ date. WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram being our constant companion, lead us to a constant connection with friends sitting at a very long distance. Now here’s the uncanny phenomenon, which I wanna share with you. Every-day when you sleep (at 3 or maybe 4 for some deep nocturnals) there is a 'momentary' guilt which engulfs you in its jaw. The guilt of sleeping late in the night, the guilt of waking up at 11-the next morning, the guilt of troubling your mommy dear in these holidays, the guilt of not doing anything constructive, the guilt of being always busy with your phone, and the list goes on. Due to this ‘additional’ thinking, sometimes the sleeping time shifts from 4 to 5 (which is the waking time of our parents). However a pledge is taken. I will definitely do something meaningful tomorrow. Good Night!!
Next morning:
Time 11 AM- Some sort of miracle happens, as the all the righteous thoughts and feisty attitude, vanishes in the surroundings. The cycle perpetuates itself and same event occurs during the day while the guilt comes to haunt you in the night. The phenomenon continues, until your vacations are over and finally mommy dear finally has a long sigh of relief.
