SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPEMENT

This type of developement requires a basic fundamental principle. No,it is not like the newton's law of cooling.Nor it is like the einstein theory of special relativity."Developement should take place, but not at the cost of future generations",is the main motto behind this developement. But to my regret,no one follows it.In the competitive world of today, where everyone is busy minting money, this type of developement holds no position on the platform.Recent surveys conducted shows that the level of groundwater is constantly going down.Morever we are constantly relyng on conventional sources of energy like coal, petroleum and natural gas.Excessive utilisation of these fossil fuels is not advisable in two different ways.Firstly, how will our future generations survive if such type of over utilisation prevails."We have not inherited the world from our forefathers,we have borrowed it from our children",goes the line.Secondly,it is important to be aware of the pollution caused due to fossil fuels. The burning of fossil fuels produces acidic gases like nitrogen oxide, sulphur oxide, carbon dioxide, etc which adds to the greenhouse effect. In this critical situation, acid rain shows no pity on the creatures residing on the earth and adds to the misery. What to do now??
Situation is difficult but its solution is crystal clear.Using non-conventional sources like solar energy, tidal energy, geothermal energy is an alternative. The environmental pollution will reduce to a certain limit.Saving energy at a large scale is the best alternative.Using CFL instead of tubelight can be helpful. The use of biogas should be encouraged in rural areas.Use of bicycle instead of scooter or bike for shorter distances can save a precious fuel like petrol. In the case of groundwater, rain water harvesting methods needs to be implemented everywhere.Friends!! remember the earth has enough resources to meet the needs of all but not enough to satisfy the greed of even one person. So let's bring the idea of sustainable developement in our lives.Let's wait and watch now.Our mother earth will soon be a safer place.
