CHILD LABOUR

Nowadays several issues are surrounding our country.Everyone is curious to know to wheather manmohan singh will make a hat-trick??And then an emotional and touching story of sanjay dutt comes in.Finally the IPL season is on and so are the controversies!!Here jesssey ryder comes in.Anyways i am here to share my views on child labour. The master planer POVERTY is catching pace and thus the menace of child labour is still prevailing in most of the states, agriculture being the largest employer of child labour.Hence many innocent children are caught in the web to make a living.Very soon the innocence and brightness on their face vanishes and dullness increases.According to world bank child labour has decreased from 25% to a mere 10% from 1960 to 2003 but still 10% is pretty high.At an age when most of the children are sent to the schools for proper education, some of them are made to work as errand boys, crossing sweepers. Many of them are seen selling flowers, match boxes and other cheap goods. The condition is far worse in cracker and bangle industries where children are forced to work and are exposed to extreme heat and temperature. The added strain on eyes is also painful. With high poverty and poor schooling opportunities, child labour is likely to prevail.Morever lack of meaningful and quality alternatives in villages,is one of the major reasons of the perpetuating cycle of poverty.Just tell me how can a country progress if the 'future' of the country is washing the dishes in many cheap restaurants????
Child labour has to be eradicated. There must be a proper utilisation of wealth in this case.Compaigns needs to be organised highlighting the importance of education, which has a very important role to play in this case.International labour organisation is also working for the betterment of children. This organisation takes the initiative of running the program successful in 88 countries and is the largest program in the world. Finally parents need to made aware of the evils of child labour and necessity of education in their child's life.Remember
"Padhega india to badhega india".
